We are looking to recruit a Science Teacher to join our School near Bridgwater, Somerset. This is an award-winning school with excellent OFSTED reports.
We are looking for someone with experience in teaching students with complex needs. The teacher will have the knowledge and skills to deliver lessons in Humanities.
- Plan and deliver Science lessons.
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate Science lessons that support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, relationships, safety, and personal development.
- Establish a calm, respectful space where pupils feel emotionally safe to explore sensitive topics and express themselves appropriately.
- Adapt teaching to individual needs.
- Differentiating Science content and approaches in line with EHCPs, emotional readiness, and communication needs.
- Use therapeutic and trauma-informed strategies to support regulation, resilience, and respectful interactions.
- Liaise with support staff, therapists, and colleagues to ensure consistent messages around wellbeing, relationships, and safeguarding.
