About the Role
The HR & Training Advisor delivers a proactive, people-centred HR service, supporting managers with day-to-day HR services which include employee relations and contributing to a positive, inclusive workplace culture. The role is responsible for site-based HR administration and the coordination of training activities. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the HR & Training Advisor ensures the effective delivery of core HR operations while actively driving employee engagement, supporting leaders, and supporting continuous improvement in line with business values.
As the HR and Training Advisor here are your key areas of focus:
- Coach and support managers on performance, conduct, and absence.
- Champion engagement and wellbeing, ensuring every voice is heard.
- Drive inclusive recruitment and onboarding to set new starters up for success.
- Provide clear HR advice aligned with policy, procedures, and legislation.
- Maintain HR systems and data, producing reports to support KPIs.
- Deliver training and promote continuous learning to boost leadership capability.
- Support HRBPs and manage HR administration to ensure efficient, value‑adding service.
We are seeking a candidate with demonstrable experience as an HR & Training Advisor, or an HR Coordinator who has supported employee relations cases and is ready to step into a varied, fast-paced role. The position offers exposure to both ER casework and the coordination of site-based HR administration. The successful candidate will bring strong IT skills, with proven capability across HR databases and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside excellent written and verbal communication skills to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
