About the Role:
Reporting into the Supplier Assurance team, you will play an important role in ensuring all raw material and packaging suppliers are approved in accordance with Refresco procedures and industry standards. A significant part of the role will involve obtaining, reviewing, and maintaining supplier documentation, specifications, audit reports, and certification records to ensure ongoing compliance with BRC, customer, and internal requirements. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure technical information is accurate, complete, and available to support product quality, food safety, and supplier performance across the business.
About You
You will be highly organised, analytical, and comfortable managing large volumes of technical data and documentation. You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with both suppliers and internal stakeholders. We're looking for someone who can manage multiple priorities, work independently, and take ownership of ensuring supplier compliance activities are completed to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with raw material and packaging suppliers to obtain and maintain approved Refresco specifications for all materials
- Ensure supplier and material specifications remain accurate, compliant, and up to date in line with BRC requirements
- Obtain and maintain supplier audit questionnaires, GFSI certificates, audit reports, and supporting technical documentation
- Monitor certification expiry dates and proactively obtain updated certificates and reports prior to renewal deadlines
- Support the approval process for new raw material and packaging suppliers
- Review supplier documentation and traceability records to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Obtain and maintain BRC/IOP certificates and reports for food contact packaging suppliers
- Support supplier review processes and maintain accurate records within the Technical Database
- Review laboratory and analytical results, escalating any non-conformances or concerns to the Supplier Assurance Managers
- Assist with traceability exercises and provide evidence to support BRC and customer audits
- Work collaboratively with Purchasing, Technical, Quality, and Operations teams to support supplier compliance activities
- Ensure all supplier records, specifications, and approval documentation are accurately maintained and readily accessible
About You
- We are looking for an organised and detail-focused individual with strong administrative and analytical skills and a passion for quality, compliance, and food safety.
- Previous experience within a food, beverage, manufacturing, technical, quality, supplier assurance, or compliance environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and database systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review and interpret technical information
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks through to completion
- Experience working with supplier approval systems, technical databases, or quality management systems would be advantageous
- An interest in food, drink, quality systems, and continuous improvement
- A proactive and customer-focused approach to supporting business objectives
