About the Role:
As HR Business Partner, you’ll deliver our people strategy at site level, ensuring it reflects the values and behaviours of the business. You’ll identify local HR priorities, provide practical solutions, and support managers across the full employee lifecycle. This is a hands-on role within a small, friendly HR team on site, with additional support from our Central HR function.
As the HR Business Partner here are your key areas of focus:
- Performance Management: Support annual appraisals, objective setting, and competency frameworks, coaching managers to embed performance standards.
- Recruitment & Retention: Facilitate approvals, support local hiring, manage agency relationships, and ensure smooth onboarding of new employees.
- Legal & Compliance: Provide HR advice in line with company policies and employment law, ensuring audit and compliance obligations are met.
- Employee Relations: Advise and coach managers, maintain positive labour relations, and support fair and consistent application of policies.
- Absence Management: Lead long-term sickness cases, manage absence KPIs, and coordinate with Occupational Health as needed.
- General HR Support: Manage site HR budget, communicate key business updates, monitor HR trends, support HR projects, and contribute to best practice across the HR function.
We’re looking for a candidate who:
- Can convey information effectively and succinctly to diverse audiences.
- Is confident using IT systems, including databases, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Has current knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Brings proven experience in HR management or as an HR Business Partner.
- Ideally has experience in FMCG and holds a CIPD qualification (or equivalent) at Level 7.
