We are looking for a Head of FP&A to join our team and play a key role in our Finance department. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the forecasting, planning, and reporting cycle with precision. You will also lead the implementation of improved reporting technologies and practices, ensuring a consistent and reliable version of financial truth for the business.   • What you’ll be doing as a Head of FP&A

    Reporting to the Director of Controlling, this role will have a key part in the Finance department, overseeing the forecasting, planning, and reporting process, as well as all related submissions to Group Finance. You\’ll be the main contact for Group Finance for any UK-related inquiries regarding these submissions. You will supervise a reporting analyst, and together, the team will develop, generate, and improve recurring reports and dashboards. In addition, you\’ll be driving the implementation of enhanced reporting technologies and practices while promoting a single version of truth that can be shared with the business.

    Key responsibilities of the Head of FP&A

  • Manage the delivery of the month end process, on behalf of the wider finance team, ensuring on time delivery of accurate, high quality reporting and analysis at month end with regular reporting and monitoring of the progress escalating where necessary.
  • Managing on time delivery of reporting packs to Holdings e.g. monthly Board Pack. Coordinating the inputs and challenging the coherent story of the output.
  • Lead the continuous improvement and development of financial planning and analysis within Refresco UK , developing reporting accuracy, speed and insight from use of evolving systems and data analysis.
  • Build strong working relationships with all financial teams, procurement, supply chain and key operational teams.
  • Develop and grow weekly operational reporting suite for key efficiency KPIs which provides commentary and guidance for the reader to turn into action
  • Seek automation and efficient improvements in reporting within remit
  • Manage an individual qualified or part-qualified accountant, supporting their career development and professional progression
  • Present monthly/quarterly management reporting to the Director of Controlling.
  • Take ownership of the 3 year strategic planning, annual planning and quarterly forecasting process, including all outputs for review to challenge consistent assumptions made by the business as well as ensuring data integrity
  • Responsible for overseeing all data uploads to Cognos consolidation tool and be a Cognos Superuser on site for data extraction.
  • Support the implementation of the new SAP S4 financial and business system, identifying opportunities for enhanced reporting
  • Import/Export reporting best practices from/to other Refresco Business Units.
  • Leverage and expand the use of reporting software in the UK business, harmonsing reporting and creating one version of the truth.
  • Take the lead on the implementation of certain new reporting requirement as directed by the Director of Controlling.
  • About you

    The ideal candidate must be ACCA / CIMA / ACA certified and possess substantial experience working in a Financial Accounting department of a comparable company. You should have previous leadership experience overseeing inventory reporting, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Additionally, you need to have knowledge of Technical Accounting and stay informed about current laws and accounting principles.
