Compensation and Benefits

£61,376 – Overtime paid at X1.5. Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12‑hour shifts (days and nights), 24/7 coverage, average of 42 hours per week.

About the role

You will be an integral part of your team, ensuring the factory is kept up and running to its highest capacity, and working as part of a focused maintenance team. You will support both planned and reactive maintenance work on state‑of‑the‑art equipment including pallet wrappers, shrink wrappers, conveyors, check weighers, palletizers, packaging machinery, processing systems, specialist food processing machinery, silos, pumps, pipework, and more.

Daily tasks

  • Work closely with the Engineering Team Leader to deliver high‑quality engineering service.
  • Rapidly diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, basic control, and instrumentation faults.
  • Complete a full range of maintenance activities across the entire installed asset base within your work area.
  • Continuously work to improve performance, delivering site efficiency and performance standards.
  • Get involved with factory improvement projects.

About you

  • L3 engineering qualification or time‑served.
  • Multi‑skilled background – either biased.
  • Confidence to propose new ideas and suggestions.
  • Accuracy and great attention to detail in daily tasks.
  • Experience working on processing equipment: pipework, pumps, silos, turning equipment.
  • Additional skillset: fault‑finding in panels, sensors, relays, inverters, drives, motors, pneumatics, and pipework.
