Overview

As the site automation lead at Kegworth, you will set hardware and software automation standards and provide technical leadership. You’ll support capital projects and drive CI to boost reliability, performance and energy efficiency across the site. You’ll collaborate with engineering teams to minimise downtime and maintain robust automation systems, while coaching others to build in-house capability. This role offers the chance to shape automation capability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contribute to site performance.

Responsibilities

  • Act as site automation lead, delivering expertise on PLC, HMI and networked control systems
  • Maintain and develop automation standards and software backup strategies to reduce operational risk
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations and automation upgrades ensuring compliance with Refresco standards
  • Identify and implement automation improvements to enhance plant reliability, performance and energy efficiency
  • Assess automation obsolescence risks and craft upgrade strategies for long-term site performance
  • Develop engineering capability through coaching, training and knowledge sharing to reduce external reliance
