About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will lead and support engineering and maintenance teams to ensure our equipment runs at peak performance. You will champion our Maintenance Excellence (ME) journey, embedding world-class practices that drive reliability, efficiency, and compliance in everything we do.

Duties:

  • Own and deliver the Maintenance Excellence programme across the Bridgwater site.
  • Lead Autonomous Maintenance (AM) initiatives, empowering operators to care for equipment and stabilise performance.
  • Drive Focused Improvement (FI) to eliminate downtime and improve asset utilisation.
  • Optimise Professional Maintenance (PM) to enhance equipment life and reduce costs.
  • Support smarter start-ups through Early Equipment Management (EEM).
  • Upskill teams with targeted Training & Education, including SPLs and standard work processes.
  • Ensure site compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and Food Safety standards.
  • Mitigate risks and escalate issues impacting reliability and service levels.
  • Be a culture champion supporting Refresco values and our Great Place to Work programme.

About You

You are an engineering or technical professional with a solid background in maintenance or continuous improvement, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing. You are passionate about driving operational excellence, and you thrive on making things better—more reliable, more efficient, and more sustainable.

You naturally lead by example, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to coach others. Building team capability is second nature to you, and you are committed to creating a culture where high performance and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.

You have a proactive approach to risk, always looking ahead to prevent issues before they arise. With a strong eye for compliance and standards, you ensure that everything you and your team do is safe, legal, and efficient.
