Were looking for a hands on Engineering Team Leader to take ownership of engineering performance within the Process Department at Refresco Bridgwater. Youll be an integral part of a supportive and collaborative engineering teamworking closely with production and operations colleagues to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the process engineering team, ensuring a high level of technical support to manufacturing operations.
  • Work closely with Production Team Leads/Managers to ensure engineering support aligns with operational targets and production schedules.
  • Drive performance through effective planning, prioritisation, and coordination of maintenance and improvement activities.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate your team to uphold safe working practices and achieve rapid diagnosis and resolution of process faults.
  • Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement training and development plans to build technical capability within the team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives within the process area.

About You

As the Engineering Team Leader Process Department, youll be a proactive and confident leader who works well with others, communicates effectively, and leads by example. Youll take pride in supporting your team and helping the site achieve its operational goals.

Youll have:

  • Proven experience leading and managing a team of multi-skilled engineers, ideally within a process or production environment.
  • A strong electrical bias, with an apprenticeship or time-served background as a Multi-Skilled Engineer.
  • Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment experience in food or beverage manufacturing would be a distinct advantage.
  • A good working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and a clear understanding of quality and safety standards within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives.
