As a Compliance Manager, you will be the fizz in our compliance and auditing strategy, working closely with the Head of Technical to craft and implement a robust strategy. With a zero-loss mindset and a disciplined approach, you will ensure your production sites meet BRCGS, customer standards, and all internal quality management systems. You will infuse your passion for quality and food safety into every aspect of our operations.
- Leadership in Quality & Compliance: Serve as the primary contact for quality, legal, and food safety compliance across three production sites. Lead and mentor teams to meet and exceed standards.
- Technical Support & Audit Management: Provide technical guidance, lead audits (e.g., BRCGS), and implement corrective actions from GAP analyses.
- Internal Audits & Training: Manage internal audits, drive continuous improvement, and deliver training programs on food safety and quality.
- Issue Resolution & Reporting: Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and provide trend analysis to improve performance.
- HACCP & Food Safety: Lead the HACCP team and ensure microbiological safety in all products.
- QMS & Policy Development: Develop and implement policies to meet compliance standards.
- Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
For this role, we are seeking the ideal candidate to match the following:
- Recognised Level 4 HACCP & Food Safety qualifications that have been renewed adequately throughout career.
- Recognised Level 4 TACCP & VACCP (Food defence) qualifications that have been renewed adequately throughout career.
- Degree in a science subject, preferably food, microbiology, chemistry.
- Recognised Lead auditor qualification that has been renewed adequately throughout career.
- Vast experience in a compliance manager's role.
- Significant experience working with the BRCGS standard.
- Demonstrable experience of building, leading, and maintaining quality compliance strategies.
- Demonstrable experience at influencing and making quick but responsible decisions.
- Must be a clear complete finisher with a track record of maintaining high standards across multiple production sites.
