About the role
Reporting to the Head of Retail, the role is to head up the designated Account/Accounts which involves responsibility for the turnover, volume, management, and coordination of a team of people, ensuring optimum performance, providing customer focus whilst generating sustained and profitable growth, forging stronger business partner relationships.
Key Responsibilities of the Account Controller
- Deliver board-approved annual volume and EBITDA targets across all managed customers, ensuring accurate forecasting, strong customer relationships, and high service levels.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive profitable growth, including branded, own-label, and NPD initiatives from concept to launch.
- Lead customer account management, including promotional budget control, SKU profitability, trade marketing, and execution of customer-driven projects.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Production, Logistics, Technical, and senior leadership to optimise performance, resolve issues, and support long-term planning.
- Drive operational excellence by managing product changes, reducing write-offs, improving aged debt, and leading internal and Group-wide project teams.
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports while supporting the Head of Sales in delivering the retail channel strategy.
About you
