We are seeking a Waste Continuous Improvement Technician to support our mission of minimizing waste, improving efficiency, and optimizing resource use across our production processes. In this vital role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, analyse, and implement waste reduction initiatives, contributing to both environmental and operational excellence. About the Role of CI Technician:

  • As a Waste Reduction Technician, you will be the driving force behind the site-wide waste reduction program, working closely with operational teams and Continuous Improvement (CI) Managers to deliver real, measurable results.
  • You will own the waste framework, oversee key projects, and escalate risks to keep everything on track.
  • You will not just support change; you will lead it.

Day-to-day duties of a CI Technician include:

  • Analysing data reports and identifying opportunities for improvements.
  • Leading the Waste Excellence Journey at our Bridgwater plant.
  • Owning and maintaining the waste project framework and ensuring timely, on-target delivery.
  • Reporting weekly on progress, risks, and resource needs in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Delivering training and coaching on waste reduction and CI tools to operational teams.
  • Championing a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality.
  • Ensuring sustainable results and embedding new processes across the operation.
  • Reducing waste percentage across the site and departments.
  • Ensuring projects stay aligned with plan and deliver sustainable results.
  • Supporting long-term business strategy by enabling effective, lasting improvements.

About You:

You will be an experienced professional with a strong background in Continuous Improvement (CI), Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies; certification is a plus. With a proven track record of delivering tangible, sustainable improvements, you bring valuable operational experience as a CI Technician, CI Coach, or Team Leader. You are a structured and passionate individual who leads by example and consistently demonstrates Refresco's core values in every aspect of your work.
