We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Continuous Improvement Technician to join our dynamic team in the food manufacturing industry. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying opportunities for process optimization, supporting lean initiatives, and ensuring consistent quality and safety standards. About the Role of CI Technician:
Reporting into the Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements throughout the factory supporting the operational excellence agenda on the site and identifying multiple opportunities to improve production efficiency and the site performance. This role is all about identifying areas of improvement within our production processes. You will need to be able to identify areas of improvement, support solutions, and communicate effectively with various teams internally to achieve a better practice/solution.
Day to day duties of a CI Technician include:
- Analysing data reports and identifying opportunities for improvements.
- Engage with stakeholders to deliver improvements facilitate with various departments.
- Ensure the best work methods are in place for quality, cost and delivery whilst above all maintaining safety are captured, trained and continuously improved.
- Actively communicate with the site CI Manager and various teams within Refresco to standardize the approach. Where possible adopt/share Best Practices.
- Coaching & developing Continuous Improvement skills among team members and peers, working with the shop floor.
- Root cause analysis.
- Generally, we find a lot of causes are from user error which will require you to support on training of staff.
About You:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally within food or drinks production, FMCG or pharmaceuticals.
- Experience contributing to continuous improvement activities within production and/or quality.
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge (Green or Black Belt) desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate to drive improvement ideas through to implementation.
- Ideal if you are currently a CI Technician / Continuous Improvement Technician but we would look at other professionals within an FMCG business who has a good manufacturing understanding.
