Youth Pastor: Family in Christ Community Church

Job Description:

The Youth Pastor’s role is to provide a well–balanced program for youth that will help them discover and grow their faith in Jesus Christ and equip them to share the goodness of the Gospel with their friends. The right person for this role will model discipleship and evangelism, teach Biblical truth, mentor students, and build strong relationships with leaders and parents.

Position Qualifications:

Student Ministry Responsibilities

  1. Guide the spiritual formation of students in grades 6 – 12.
  2. Design and implement student ministry programming in alignment with the church’s mission and vision.
  3. Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings and special events such as retreats and mission trips.
  4. Prepare and deliver Gospel-centered messages in youth group.
  5. Foster fellowship with students, parents, and the broader church.
  6. Coordinate, recruit, supervise, and equip adult and student volunteer leaders.
  7. Draft, submit, and manage an annual budget for the ministry.

Other Responsibilities

  1. Quarterly preaching responsibilities once established in the role.
  2. As time permits, assist with, and serve as a resource to the children’s ministry.
  3. Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
