Briarwood Presbyterian Church PCA in Birmingham, Alabama, is searching for a full-time Youth Pastor to lead and manage its Youth Ministry for grades 7-12 within its congregation of over 3,500 members. The Youth Pastor would be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a complete student ministry to our covenant students including programming, discipleship, evangelism, outreach opportunities, retreats, and leadership training. This role will also oversee, train, and develop the youth staff team equipping students to worship God and to reach their schools to reach the world for Christ. Position Qualifications:
- EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: College graduate; seminary degree or in the process of pursuing a degree; ordained in the PCA or willingness to be ordained; previous experience working with youth.
- KNOWLEDGE: Understanding of Biblical and reformed theology; knowledge of ministry to junior and senior high school students; well informed about current youth culture and issues; an understanding of management principles for staff and ministries; financial principles for budgeting.
- SKILLS: Strong leader; relational; excels in teaching and communication with youth; personnel management; proficient in technology; ability to develop and implement a strategic plan and ministry.
