Overview
Associate Pastor of Worship: First Baptist Church
The First Baptist Church of Aberdeen, North Carolina is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Worship. The Associate Pastor of Worship provides key leadership for the congregation’s needs in regard to music, including congregational singing, worship choir and special events. The Associate Pastor of Worship assists in the overall shepherding of the congregation with the other pastors, including spiritual leadership, teaching, visitation and other needs that may arise.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for congregational singing, worship choir and special events.
- Assist in the overall shepherding of the congregation with other pastors, including spiritual leadership, teaching, visitation and other needs that may arise.
Qualifications
- Committed to the theological distinctiveness of the Baptist tradition and affirm the content of The Baptist Faith and Message, 2000.
- Must meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7. It is preferable that theological education be completed before assuming responsibilities; consideration may be made if the candidate is still in process.
- Gifted vocalist and musician with the ability to lead the praise team and direct the worship choir.
- Technologically adept and willing to learn the church’s technology as it relates to worship, including sound and media (Planning Center, Proclaim).
- Self-motivated, with a teachable spirit and the ability to function well as part of the leadership team.
- Willing to submit to a thorough background check.
