Provide support to the Transport Department through the planning and coordination of the transport fleet based at Widnes.

To provide assistance and general support to management to help coordinate the raw material supply chain.

To carry out the role whilst ensuring operator licence compliance and adherence to health and safety procedures at all times, maintaining high levels of productivity, attendance and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with ensuring the efficient running of the Company's collection services and ensuring Service Level Agreements for customers are met.
  • Planning the daily workload for vehicles based at the Widnes site.
  • Effective planning and utilisation of drivers and vehicles for deliveries and collections.
  • Effective route planning.
  • Daily face-to-face debriefing of the Driver Team.
  • Dealing with queries by telephone and email from customers, employees and colleagues.
  • Monitoring driver hours to ensure compliance with legislative and Company requirements.
  • Planning fleet services and MOTs in accordance with Operator Licence requirements for the Widnes fleet.
  • Ensuring compliance with Company procedures and statutory obligations for vehicle operations, health and safety and other legislation.
  • Monitoring and management of vehicle defects through the PURGO system.
  • Creating and amending inbound and outbound weighbridge tickets.
  • Undertaking any other duties or projects as reasonably required by the management team.

The post holder’s duties must be carried out in accordance with policies and procedures of SARIA Ltd including, but not limited to the Equal Opportunities, Harassment and Bullying Policy, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other subsequent health and safety legislation.

  • ISO9001
  • PAS110 (as amended)
  • ADQP (as amended)

These duties should be regarded as neither exclusive nor exhaustive as the post holder may be required to undertake other reasonably determined duties and responsibilities for the Company, commensurate with the grading of the post.
