The ReFood AD plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food wastes to produce biogas, renewable electricity, heat and ReGrow (a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms). The plants also recycle the food waste packaging providing an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfill.
Applications are invited for a Service Delivery Driver - Class C to be based at our Remondis Ltd, site in Birtley. The position will involve working 38.4 hours per week (Monday to Thursday) in line with the EU Drivers Hours rules and the Working Time Directive (WTD). Please be aware that you will be required to be flexible in regard to start and finish times due to business requirements, with the shifts being based around afternoons, as required.
As a Service Delivery Driver – Class C, your duties and responsibilities will vary on the Company's requirements but will include the following:
- The collection and tipping of 240 ltr wheelie bins from clients' premises, containing food and catering waste into an AD facility.
- Completion of all required documentation.
- Ensuring the vehicle is well maintained.
