Rewind Operator
Location: Mansfield
Contract: Permanent
Role: Full Time
Shift Pattern: Rotating 2-week pattern of Monday to Friday, 6.00 – 14.00 or 14.00 – 22.00

The company values quality, efficiency, ethics, low environmental impact, innovation, and dynamism. We are seeking an Inspection Finisher to join our Reflex Label site in Boston.
Roles and Responsibilities
As an Inspection Finishing Operator, your duties include ensuring that paper rolls are wound to specified lengths on the required core. You will feed paper from the master roll into a rewind machine, measuring and cutting to the required length. The finished reels will be removed from the machine and labeled with relevant core and reel end information. Your responsibilities also include maintenance and calibration of your equipment.
Tasks:
- Loading specified master reels according to job specifications and reel identification labels
- Printing inner and outer core labels and other customer traceability labels as required
- Selecting and fixing the correct mandrel according to customer specifications
- Sourcing the correct core size per customer requirements
- Setting blades to slit reels to the relevant width, following health and safety procedures
- Using AVT inspection to ensure removal of any substandard print within the master reels
- Maintaining quality during the slitting process throughout the run
- Ensuring all reels are fully labeled per company and customer requirements
- Following line clearance procedures after each job and retaining line clearance joins
Skills:
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to operate or quickly learn to operate various printing machines and related software
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working within a team with good communication skills
- Previous experience as an Inspection Finisher
