Working Hours

  • 1x 24 hours per week 06.00 – 18.00 Saturday and Sunday
  • 1x A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 – 14.00 and week 2: 14.00 – 22.00

The company has an opportunity for an experienced Printer at our site in Telford.

Role Overview

The role encompasses the operation offlexoprinting presses, ensuring that designs and printed within a targettimeframeand to the customer specification.

To co-ordinate and manage the safe operation of the Press and supervise the assistant ensuring all best practices are adhered too.

Also to organise ancillary products/equipment to provide a well organised and safe place of work including the distribution facility for raw materials, WIP and finished goods ensuring materials are available asrequiredfor the next process.

  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure health & safety requirements within the departments areadhered to at all times.
  • To ensure that all print personnel areoperatingin a safe manner
  • Tobe responsible forthe operation of the press
  • To minimise downtime and waste within the print department departments
  • To develop the efficiency of machine performance by effective trouble shooting and implementing improvements using CI techniques.
  • Tobe responsible forthe consumable items used within the print department.
  • The effective supervision of the print assistant within the operations, ensuring that all staff have the skills necessary to complete their roles to a high and safe standard.
  • Take due care and attention of equipment and resources withparticular regardto Health & Safety, hygiene, goodhousekeepingand basic maintenance.
  • To ensure that Health, Safety and Hygiene procedures arefollowed at all times, including compliance with BRC criteria.
  • Carry out effective shift handovers to ensure continued quality and avoid unnecessary downtime issues
  • Ensure press speeds are constantly optimised

Required Skills & Experience

  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Ability tooperateor to quickly learn tooperatevarious printing machines and related software.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in Flexographic Printing
  • Experience meeting SEDEX and ETI Requirements (not essential)
  • Experience working within a team with a good standard of communication
