Warehouse / Dispatch Operative

We are currently looking for a Warehouse / Dispatch Operative to join our team at the Barwell site.
Position Type : Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern : A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 05.45 – 13.30 Monday, 05.30 – 13.30 Tuesday to Friday and week 2: 13.20 – 21.10 Monday to Thursday and 13.20 – 21.00 Friday
Role Overview
As a Warehouse / Dispatch Operative, you will play a key role in preparing customer orders for dispatch and ensuring all products are packed and shipped accurately and on time.
You will be responsible for organising outgoing goods in line with customer orders, maintaining warehouse standards, and supporting the smooth running of the dispatch department.
This is a hands-on role that can be physically demanding and requires good attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Roles & Responsibilities
- Preparing customer orders accurately for dispatch.
- Picking and packing products in line with order requirements.
- Labelling, palletising, and organising goods ready for shipment.
- Checking orders to ensure accuracy before dispatch.
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse and dispatch area.
- Assisting with stock checks and inventory control when required.
- Working to timed deadlines while maintaining high standards.
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times.
- Operating warehouse equipment such as manual pallet trucks safely (training provided).
- Forklift truck training may be provided in the future to support the role, unless candidates already hold a valid forklift licence.

- Previous warehouse or dispatch experience is beneficial.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift moderate-weight items.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn new tasks and procedures.
- Basic computer literacy, including email and warehouse systems (training provided).
- A positive and reliable attitude with good timekeeping.
