Probation Officer – Specialist Risk Support Team

Location: Norwich NR3 1RT (Hybrid Working)

Hours: Full-time, 9:00–17:00

Pay rate: £23.95 PAYE p/h, £31.53 Umbrella p/h

We are recruiting for a qualified Probation Officer to join a specialist and fast-growing team established in 2024 within London Corporate Services. This is a rare opportunity to step into a non-traditional PO role where you will not hold a caseload. Instead, you will play a key role in supporting multiple Probation Delivery Units and Approved Premises across London, focusing on high and very high-risk cases. You will be located in Norwich office and work as part of a team of eight PSOs and a SPO.

The Role

  • You will provide critical support to frontline teams by delivering high-quality risk assessments and managing complex pieces of work, including:
  • OASys assessments and reviews
  • Risk analysis for high and very high-risk individuals
  • ISPs and enforcement work (including breach reports)
  • Supporting backlog reduction and urgent casework

This is a dynamic and reactive role, requiring flexibility and the ability to manage competing priorities. Workloads can fluctuate, with some tasks requiring same-day completion.
