Essential Requirements

  • Female applicants only (This role is exempt under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.)
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Must have access to your own vehicle and be willing to travel.

Are you passionate about helping women rebuild their lives after experiencing domestic abuse?

We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Resettlement Worker to support women and their children as they move from safe accommodation into independent living.

This rewarding role focuses on empowering families to build safe, stable futures while providing practical and emotional support throughout their resettlement journey.

This is an office-based role with regular travel across Sandwell and surrounding areas.

The Role

  • Support women and children as they transition into independent accommodation.
  • Complete risk and needs assessments and develop tailored support plans.
  • Provide practical assistance with setting up new homes, including utilities, furniture and essential household items.
  • Offer emotional support, safety planning and crisis intervention where required.
  • Advocate for clients and work alongside housing providers, health services, schools and other partner agencies.
  • Help clients access financial support, grants and community resources.
  • Maintain accurate case records and contribute to safeguarding and multi-agency working.

About You

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults and/or children.
  • Experience carrying out risk assessments, support planning and managing complex caseloads.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence working independently as well as part of a supportive team.
  • 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays.
