Birmingham Training Academy is currently looking to recruit a creative, enthusiastic and professional Hairdressing & Barbering Tutor to join our Hairdressing Reflections training team part-time based in the centre of Birmingham.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Ideal Candidate Qualities:
- Passionate about Hairdressing: Enjoy training young people, helping them develop their skills and meet their individual needs.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to work closely with learners and employers, supporting recruitment efforts and maintaining strong relationships.
- Creative and Confident: Capable of delivering hairdressing instruction to both groups and one-on-one sessions.
- Organized and Prioritised Well: Strong organizational skills, able to meet deadlines and targets.
- Flexible and Motivating: Inspire and motivate learners with a flexible approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with young people: Competently support and assess learners at Hairdressing or Barbering Foundation level.
- Raising Standards: Work with learners and employers to enhance training quality.
- Supportive Role: Provide full support to employers and learners, ensuring high-quality training and adherence to industry standards.
- Develop Personal Skills: Help young people develop the personal skills necessary for their careers.
- Engaging Delivery: Prepare and deliver inspiring, engaging, and interactive workshops and sessions.
- Monitor Progress: Track learner progress, set targets, and ensure timely assessments and training within the workplace.
- High-Quality Training: Demonstrate advanced level, up-to-date standards in training.
- Professional and Friendly: Excellent communication skills, high personal presentation, and a team player attitude.
Driving Licence Required: Must have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
