Our Mission Reflection’s mission is to build open superintelligence and make it accessible to all. We’re developing open weight models for individuals, agents, enterprises, and even nation states. Our team of AI researchers and company builders come from DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Brain, Meta, Character.AI, Anthropic and beyond.

About the Role People at Reflection move fast, and the systems that support them need to keep pace. We're looking for a People Operations Specialist to own the infrastructure that keeps our team running — from the moment someone joins to every milestone in between. You'll be the operational backbone of the People function: the person who builds the processes, maintains the systems, and ensures every employee experience is seamless and trustworthy. This is a high-ownership role in a small, talent-dense team. You'll work with a lot of autonomy, and what you build will scale with the company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, transfers, leave administration, and employment changes.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and People Operations requests.
  • Administer employee records and maintain data accuracy across HR systems.
  • Build, maintain, and improve workflows within Rippling and other People systems.
  • Coordinate employment documentation, contracts, amendments, and policy acknowledgements.
  • Support immigration and visa administration in partnership with external counsel and vendors.
  • Execute benefits, payroll, and compliance-related processes as needed.
  • Manage People Operations ticket queues and ensure timely resolution of employee requests.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and employee-facing resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale People Operations processes.
  • Support People projects and programs as the company grows.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2–5 years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, HRIS Administration, or a related role.
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong operational mindset with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience working with HR systems and employee data management.
  • Ability to manage multiple processes and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-service orientation and commitment to delivering a positive employee experience.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Comfortable working independently in a high-growth, rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience administering Rippling or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Experience building workflows and process automations.
  • Experience supporting global employee populations.
  • Familiarity with immigration, benefits administration, or payroll operations.
  • Experience working within a ticketing or shared-services environment.

What We Offer:

We believe that to build superintelligence that is truly open, you need to start at the foundation. Joining Reflection means building from the ground up as part of a small talent-dense team. You will help define our future as a company, and help define the frontier of open foundational models. We want you to do the most impactful work of your career with the confidence that you and the people you care about most are supported.

  • Top-tier compensation: Salary and equity structured to recognize and retain the best talent globally.
  • Health & wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Life & family: Fully paid parental leave for all new parents, including adoptive and surrogate journeys. Financial support for family planning.
  • Benefits & balance: paid time off when you need it, relocation support, and more perks that optimize your time.
  • Opportunities to connect with teammates: lunch and dinner are provided daily. We have regular off-sites and team celebrations.
