My client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is seeking a Residential Property Conveyancing Fee Earner to join its thriving Stamford office. This is more than just another conveyancing role — it’s an opportunity to take ownership of a busy caseload, work with a loyal client base, and be part of a supportive, professional environment where quality service is the priority.
The Role
You will handle a varied and engaging caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, including:
- Sales and purchases
- Re-mortgages
- Transfers of equity (including matrimonial matters)
- Leasehold and freehold transactions
You will have the support of an experienced assistant and a strong network of repeat clients and referrers; you will be set up for success from day one. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and proactive client care are key. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing files end-to-end with confidence and autonomy
- Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring full compliance with AML regulations
- Conducting due diligence and source of funds checks
- Reviewing and reporting on title
- Raising and responding to enquiries
- Identifying risks and clearly advising clients, lenders, and agents
- Supervising junior team members where appropriate
- Ensuring lender requirements and CQS protocols are met
- Overseeing exchange and completion processes
- Ensuring accurate billing and smooth post-completion registration
The ideal candidate will
- Be an experienced conveyancer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering a seamless client experience.
- Have a solid knowledge of residential conveyancing processes
- Have a strong understanding of anti-money laundering requirements
- Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
