We're recruiting for a Spare Parts & Dispatch Operative to join our client's busy and friendly team in Gainsborough on a full-time temporary to permanent basis.

This role would ideally suit someone with previous experience working for a machinery manufacturer, dealer, distributor or subsidiary, particularly within a parts or stores environment.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour (DOE), with opportunities for progression and the potential for a pay review after successfully completing probation.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • Friday: 7:30am - 3:00pm
  • Overtime available

The Role

This is not a traditional warehouse role. The warehouse is relatively small, and the successful candidate will divide their time between the warehouse, office and dispatch area.

Duties include:

  • Picking spare parts by hand from warehouse stock.
  • Processing customer orders using the computer system.
  • Packing and preparing orders for dispatch.
  • Booking stock onto the system and maintaining accurate records.
  • Raising dispatch notes and shipping documentation.
  • Goods inwards, checking deliveries and putting stock away.
  • Stock control, stock takes and tracking deliveries.
  • Supporting the wider team with general warehouse and stores duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience within a machinery manufacturer, dealer, distributor or similar environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience in stores, spare parts, warehouse or dispatch.
  • Good computer skills and confidence using stock management systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable, organised and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Forklift experience is beneficial but not essential.

Benefits

  • Immediate start.
  • On‑site parking.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Staff canteen with coffee machine and cooking facilities.
  • Genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with career progression and long-term development.

This version positions the role more accurately as a Spare Parts Operative rather than a general warehouse operative, helping to attract candidates with the right background while making it clear that the role combines warehouse, computer and dispatch responsibilities.
