We’re recruiting a Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a busy and expanding Construction team in our Stamford office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys technically challenging work and wants exposure to a wide range of property, construction and engineering disputes.
The Role
You’ll be advising a diverse client base on disputes involving employers, contractors and consultants, working across both commercial and residential developments. The work is varied, technical and rewarding, offering hands-on experience in:
- Adjudication, mediation and litigation
- County Court and High Court proceedings, including TCC matters
- Drafting and advising on building contracts and construction documentation
- Managing disputes from early advice through to resolution
This is a role where no two matters are the same, and your expertise will truly make an impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting for clients in property, construction and engineering disputes and providing an ongoing, high-quality service
- Drafting pre-action protocol correspondence
- Reviewing pleadings, witness statements, expert reports and settlement agreements
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and other stakeholders throughout the dispute process
- Keeping up to date with changes in law and practice within the construction sector
About You
- A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Dispute Resolution
- Ideally experienced in property and/or construction law
- Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledgeable in Solicitors Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations
- Holds a full driving licence with access to a car
