We are recruiting for a QC Operator for an established, award-winning food production company based in Bottesford. You will join the team working days, Monday to Thursday, 7:15 am - 4:00 pm, and Friday, 5:15 am - 2:00 pm. During busier periods, overtime may be required during the week or on Saturday mornings. Salary is £11.79 per hour, rising to £12.54 after 3 months, including 45 minutes of overtime daily due to the slightly earlier start time for the Quality Department.
We are looking for candidates with experience in a similar QA/QC role within a food factory environment.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Calibration checks of scales, metal detectors/check weighers, and manual thermometers (where necessary)
- Metal detection operation
- Checking compliance of delivered and packed products to specifications, reporting issues to QA Supervisor
- Inputting data into QA / NAV systems
- Organizing and logging production samples for micro and chemistry evaluation
- Managing product retests
- Coordinating and presenting trace exercises as required
- Practicing continuous improvement within the department
- Assisting with system development, controls, and paperwork reduction
- Participating in foreign body and complaint investigations
- Conducting periodic environmental swabbing, auditing, and shelf-life sample evaluation
