My client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is seeking a Trusts and Probate Senior Fee Earner to join their thriving Peterborough office. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a busy caseload, work with a loyal client base, and be part of a supportive, professional environment where quality service is the priority.
The Role
In this full time role you will have the opportunity to join an experienced team offering a wide range of private client advice with the support of the most experienced team in the area behind you. The private client department advises on all aspects of private client law including simple form and complex wills, probate, estate administration, tax, trusts, IHT, life planning and Court of Protection cases. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and proactive client care are key. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing files end-to-end with confidence and autonomy
- Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring full compliance with AML regulations
- Conducting due diligence and source of funds checks
- Raising and responding to enquiries
- Identifying risks and clearly advising clients, lenders, and agents
- Supervising junior team members where appropriate
- Ensuring accurate billing
The ideal candidate will
- Have strong technical and client management skills
- Have a minimum 5 years Post-Qualified Experience as a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive
- Have a strong understanding of anti-money laundering requirements
- Have excellent communication skills, able to understand the client’s objectives and explain options in an accessible manner
- Be personable, compassionate and confident with good commercial awareness
- Undertake appropriate and continuing education to update and retain that knowledge, preferably holding or wish to work towards the STEP qualification
