My client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is seeking a Litigation Fee Earner to join their thriving Peterborough office. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a busy caseload, work with a loyal client base, and be part of a supportive, professional environment where quality service is the priority.
The Role
In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to join an experienced team offering a wide range of private client advice with the support of the most experienced team in the area behind you. You will have a strong knowledge of Civil and Commercial Litigation Law and ideally have at least 5 years PQE. You will be capable of working both independently and as part of the team. You will have experience of leading your own transactions. You will need excellent management, communication and organisational skills, proficiency in IT, and have a polite and professional manner.
Key to this role
Acting for individual clients both bringing and defending claims across a range of commercial property disputes, breach of contract claims, housing disputes, shareholder and director disputes and contentious trusts and probate issues such as I(PFD)A claims, Will challenges in areas such as capacity and lack of knowledge, trust disputes, executor and trustee issues, construction and rectification, proprietary estoppel, court of protections and care fee disputes.
The ideal candidate will
- Have strong technical and client management skills
- Have a minimum of 5 years Post-Qualified Experience as a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive
- Have a strong understanding of anti-money laundering requirements
- Have excellent communication skills, able to understand the client’s objectives and explain options in an accessible manner
- Be personable, compassionate and confident with good commercial awareness
- Undertake appropriate and continuing education to update and retain that knowledge, preferably holding or wishing to work towards the STEP qualification
