We are working exclusively with a family owned business located in Grantham, who work on bespoke projects mainly within London, to recruit experienced Bench Joiners for their busy Grantham workshop.
The Role
As a Bench Joiner, you’ll be manufacturing bespoke joinery and furniture from detailed workshop drawings, working as part of a skilled and collaborative team. While the role is predominantly workshop-based, there may be occasional site work depending on project requirements. You’ll be involved in taking concepts from design through to manufacture, contributing to complete bespoke solutions delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture high-end bespoke joinery and furniture in a workshop environment
- Work accurately from CAD and technical drawings
- Manage your own workload to meet agreed timescales and production schedules
- Collaborate effectively with designers, management, and fellow joiners
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, finish, and attention to detail
- Support site-based work when required (project dependent)
About You
This role would suit an experienced bench joiner who takes pride in precision, quality, and craftsmanship. You’ll ideally bring:
- Minimum of 3 years’ joinery experience in a workshop environment
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- Confidence reading and working from CAD drawings
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly
- A flexible attitude and willingness to support site installations when needed
- Experience with solid surfaces is desirable, or a willingness to learn
- CNC experience would be advantageous
Location & Requirements
- Workshop based in Grantham (with occasional UK site work)
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- CSCS Card preferred
- Level 2/3 Diploma or NVQ in Joinery & Carpentry preferred
