High-End Bespoke Projects | Quality-Focused Workshop | Long-Term Role

We are working exclusively with a family owned business located in Grantham, who work on bespoke projects mainly within London, to recruit experienced Bench Joiners for their busy Grantham workshop.

The Role

As a Bench Joiner, you’ll be manufacturing bespoke joinery and furniture from detailed workshop drawings, working as part of a skilled and collaborative team. While the role is predominantly workshop-based, there may be occasional site work depending on project requirements. You’ll be involved in taking concepts from design through to manufacture, contributing to complete bespoke solutions delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture high-end bespoke joinery and furniture in a workshop environment
  • Work accurately from CAD and technical drawings
  • Manage your own workload to meet agreed timescales and production schedules
  • Collaborate effectively with designers, management, and fellow joiners
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, finish, and attention to detail
  • Support site-based work when required (project dependent)

About You

This role would suit an experienced bench joiner who takes pride in precision, quality, and craftsmanship. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ joinery experience in a workshop environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
  • Confidence reading and working from CAD drawings
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to support site installations when needed
  • Experience with solid surfaces is desirable, or a willingness to learn
  • CNC experience would be advantageous

Location & Requirements

  • Workshop based in Grantham (with occasional UK site work)
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
  • CSCS Card preferred
  • Level 2/3 Diploma or NVQ in Joinery & Carpentry preferred
