We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Yardperson / Maintenance Operative to join one of our well-established clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, keeping busy, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
The Role
- Keeping the yard and premises clean, tidy and safe
- Litter picking, sweeping, weed removal and general yard maintenance
- Disposing of pallets and other waste appropriately
- Putting deliveries away into stores (fasteners, body fittings and other stock)
- Assisting with general housekeeping around the site
- Driving company vehicles between the main site and a nearby compound (approximately half a mile away)
- Running occasional local errands in company 3.5-tonne vehicles
- Supporting the existing Yardperson with daily tasks as required
What We're Looking For
- A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
- Applicants must be aged 25 or over due to vehicle insurance requirements
- Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet for most of the day
- Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- A positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed
- Forklift experience is advantageous but not essential - full training can be provided for the right candidate
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am - 3:00pm
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- 27.5 paid hours per week
- Some flexibility may be available
