Our client, a well-established manufacturer in the industrial sector, is seeking an experienced Mechanical CAD Designer to join their team. This role is suited to someone with prior industry experience who can confidently contribute to design work from day one. Pay is flexible and negotiable depending on experience, starting from £14.50ph.
You will be involved in the design and development of industrial valves and bespoke mechanical components, supporting projects from concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce 2D and 3D CAD designs using Onshape (primary platform)
- Develop and refine design solutions for new and existing products
- Prepare drawings, BOMs, and production documentation
- Support product development from concept through to manufacture
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
- Assist with quotations and project delivery
- Proven experience in Mechanical CAD design
- Strong experience with Onshape preferred
- SolidWorks experience considered (role primarily uses Onshape)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
