We are searching for an accomplished Internal Compliance and Risk Solicitor to join our leadership team in Lincoln. This is a senior, influential position where you'll work closely with our COLP and senior management, playing a pivotal role in protecting the firm, strengthening governance, and enhancing client care. The Role
You'll be the trusted advisor on legal risk and professional negligence matters, helping to safeguard the firm while driving continuous improvements in compliance, governance and client experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on professional negligence risks and claims
- Managing complex complaints from initial investigation through to resolution
- Investigating claims and assessing liability and potential exposure
- Liaising with insurers and external legal counsel
- Supporting claims strategy and risk management initiatives
- Providing clear, commercially focused advice to senior stakeholders
- Helping to develop and improve risk, compliance and client care processes across the firm
The ideal candidate will be someone who brings both technical expertise and sound commercial judgement. Ideally have:
- Qualified Solicitor status with significant post-qualification experience
- A strong background in professional negligence, litigation or dispute resolution
- Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- The confidence to advise and influence senior stakeholders
- A proactive approach to identifying and managing legal risk
- A genuine interest in governance, compliance and improving how a successful law firm operates
