Our client, an independent group of companies require a Group Finance Manager to join the senior management team in Lincoln in an office based role. This is not an ordinary Finance Management role; the culture is a very special one and will mean this will suit someone who is genuinely hands on, thrives in a team environment, loves to be involved with the organisation as a whole and is very developmental in their style.

Your role will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer and you will manage the day-to-day finance operation, line managing the finance team and maintaining strong governance for the organisation. You will be genuinely contributing to the continuous improvement of financial systems, policies and processes.

Your line management responsibility will include providing support and development to two direct reports in addition to their supervision and performance management. You will definitely be a mentor to your colleagues; reviewing and approving the team outputs including balance sheet reconciliation and control accounts as well as identifying and improving team efficiency through improvement and system automation.

You will prepare monthly management accounts and departmental reporting packs across the group and senior management team. You will also be the key operational contact for external auditors, coordinating audit deliverables and responding to queries. You will be responsible for balance sheet integrity ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation.

You will also coordinate the annual budget setting process; issuing templates, consolidating submissions and supporting budget holder discussions. Treasury management will also be a key part of your role including payment runs, bank reconciliations, safe counting, cash management ensuring appropriate approval levels.

You’ll manage credit control processes including oversight of debtors and creditors and posting of weekly inter account transfers and management of intercompany control accounts although the level of intercompany transactions is limited.

Given all the above, you will clearly be experienced in a similar role and will be expected to be MAAT or equivalent with at least three to five years post qualification experience to meet the requirements of the role.

In return for your experience, there is a generous remuneration package expected to be between £40,000 and £45,000 per annum dependent on experience with very attractive benefits.

Please be aware that this role is being filled for a start as soon as possible so if you are interested then please contact Cameron Ford as soon as possible.
