Our client is a well respected and very established metals fabrication business on the outskirts of Lincoln.

They work on a wide variety of projects engineered in a broad spectrum of metals and across a number of industries.

You will be amazed at the incredible variety of work which comes through this workshop.

The work can be anything from complete design and build to repair and the flexibility of the services the business can provide is one of it's greatest strengths.

As a result, a role is being created as an Engineering Estimator / Coordinator.

By the established nature of the business and the variety of responsibilities that will eventually be included in this role, you may have all of the skills already or you may just have one or more of the core skills but are keen and willing to learn the others.

Please therefore consider applying if you have any, a combination of, or all of the following:

  • Engineering Estimation and Measuring
  • Production Planning again in the same environment
  • Materials Planning
  • Solid Works and or Autocad Engineering Drawing experience which could be taught over time if you are used to working with Engineering Drawings
  • Purchasing and Stock Control in an engineering environment.
  • All round administrative control of an engineering workshop including invoicing using Xero. Any Mie Trak or similar ERP exposure would be a benefit but could be taught.
  • Workflow and Resource Planning in engineering

Ultimately you will be responsible for client and supplier liaison, discussions about requirements, drawing up those requirements, planning the resource and materials for production and allocation and control of the production through to the delivery of the final product/s.

This really will be a role where you will be working hand in hand with the clients, suppliers, welders, fabricators and senior management to provide the very best service and result to the client at all times so is a critical role to the ongoing success of the business.

Ultimately the goal would be to move towards an Engineering Manager position.

As you can see from the variety of the backgrounds you might possibly come from, the duties are going to ultimately be just as varied.

All of the above will eventually be included in your role but this business is in a position to be able to hand hold you in those areas that you are not yet competent to train and support you to take on those extra responsibilities.

As such the range of salary expectation is wide, between £28,000 and £36,000 per annum depending on the level of your experience.

This remuneration package though is definitely expected to increase in increments as you prove yourself and grow your responsibilities in the role.

Once you are competent and capable in all the areas described your salary and package will certainly exceed the £36,000.

The company is one which values the contribution you make to the business and remunerates accordingly.

If you have some of the skills and exposure described but a desire to grow your experience, then this could be the role for you but equally you may have had exposure to a number of the above.

Either way we'd like to hear from you so please do call Kasha or Cameron.
