Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Controller on a part time basis between 20 - 25 hours per week. Great dynamic company to work for with a large number of orders and supportive Management team. The annual salary would be around £35-45k based on full time hours, therefore this would be pro-rated to the equivalent salary based on the hours per week.
The ideal candidate would follow out the following duties:
- Oversee the collection, analysis and consolidation of financial data in the effective management of the company’s finances.
- The development, documentation and maintenance of financial controls, processes and systems and ensure that these are in line with statutory and senior management requirements.
- Managing and coordinating all day to day accounting operations - this usually includes Billing, Debt Collection, Creditor Payments, VAT, Payroll, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Stock Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinating the preparation of budget and financial forecasting and reporting any variances.
- Preparing and publishing all monthly financial statements.
- Creating reports (annual and monthly) which identifies results, trends and forecasts.
- Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed and reported properly.
- Making sure reporting meets compliant standards with statutory law and financial regulations.
- Streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems.
- Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes.
- Lead, manage, supervise, mentor and motivate the finance team.
- Find expansion opportunities and maximise profits through the analysis of market trends.
- Propose solutions to identified risks, and effectively manage shareholder expectations.
- Advise on alternate sources of business finance and different ways of raising finance.
