We are searching for a Secretary / Legal Secretary to become an integral part of a dynamic and supportive legal team. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential administrative and business support to Partners and fee earners, helping to drive the success of the firm while ensuring a first-class experience for clients.
The Role includes (but is not limited to):
- Providing comprehensive secretarial support, including typing, filing, and completing legal forms
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients, delivering a warm, professional, and efficient service
- Supporting fee earners with proactive administrative and business assistance—often anticipating needs before they arise
- Preparing financial transactions and associated documentation
- Drafting, formatting, and proofreading correspondence and legal documents to a high standard
- Producing accurate documents through audio typing and word processing
- Managing diaries and coordinating meetings and appointments
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks to support the wider team
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment (preferred)
- A solid background in legal administration with an understanding of legal processes
- Familiarity with case management systems
- Experience in a client-facing role with a polished and professional manner
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), Teams, and Zoom
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- A proactive mindset and a genuine willingness to support colleagues
