We're recruiting for a Senior Private Client Lawyer to join our well-established and growing team in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. This is a fantastic chance to play a key role in shaping the future of a successful department within a firm known for its heritage, reputation and people-first culture.

You’ll be a confident, proactive and highly organised Private Client specialist, experienced across a broad range of matters, including:
- Drafting Wills, including complex Wills and those utilising trusts
- Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning
- Preparation and registration of EPAs and LPAs
- Court of Protection work
- Administration of both taxable and non-taxable estates
- Identifying and managing trust administration requirements
You’ll also play an active role in promoting the department, supporting business development and enhancing the firm’s already strong reputation in the market.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering an excellent ongoing service to existing clients
- Working closely with Partners and Fee Earners to develop new business
- Contributing to the growth and development of the Private Client department
- Achieving agreed fee income targets
- Staying up to date with legal developments and best practice
- Maintaining high standards of legal, financial and risk compliance
- Managing billing, cash flow and file progression effectively
Essential:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive
- Strong experience across core Private Client work
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage your own caseload confidently
- Sound knowledge of AML regulations and Solicitors Accounts Rules
- A professional, empathetic approach, particularly when dealing with vulnerable clients
Desirable:
- STEP qualification (or a desire to work towards it)
- Experience with agricultural estates and/or high net worth clients
- Supervisory experience
- Interest in marketing and business development
- A following or strong local network
You’ll be proactive, resilient and client-focused, with the integrity and empathy needed to build long-lasting relationships.
Role Details- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:15pm (36.25 hours)
- Location: Sleaford, Lincolnshire
- Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
- A full driving licence and access to a car are required, as travel between offices and off-site appointments will be part of the role.
