We are recruiting a Catering Assistant to join a fantastic company based in Newark on a Permanent basis. Working hours will be on a 40hr contract, very rare in the industry. You’ll be joining a company that has established an inclusive and friendly culture, where team members feel supported by the Management team. As Catering Assistant, you’ll be responsible for – Reporting to the Head Chef, assisting with veg prep, salad prep etc. – Serving the breakfast and lunch menu, to include ‘home-style’ dishes such as Cooked & Continental breakfast, sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes, pies and pasta – Handling stock control and rotation – Topping up fridges and salad bar – Working within Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations – Collecting plates from the dining area – Ensuring dining area is clean and tidy The company offers a fantastic range of benefits to include: – 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays from day one of employment – Discretionary staff bonus scheme 7.5% of salary! – Staff wellbeing support – Cashback on optical and dental spend – Local gym membership discounts – 10% employer Pension contributions – Team events and get-togethers What the company are looking for in a successful Catering Assistant: – A calm and composed approach during busy periods – Ability to work with and support your colleagues as a team-player – An incredibly friendly and welcoming nature to fit with the company’s culture – Ideally have some experience in Catering or as a Waiter/Waitress – L2 qualification in Food Hygiene qualification would be ideal but training can be provided Working hours: 6:30/7:00am – 2:30/3:00pm with 30 minutes’ lunch Salary: £25,500 per year plus discretionary bonus of 7.5% of salary as above Interested?
