Role Profile: Ideal for candidates starting or developing their technical consulting career, with scope for growth and development as experience is gained. The Business Consultant provides deep domain knowledge and solution design expertise throughout the entire sales cycle by supporting customer engagements via activities such as gathering requirements, running customer workshops, solution design, developing proof of concepts, demonstrating solution capabilities, specifying deliverables in a Statement of Work and also building/delivering these solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Run customer workshops/ presentations
  • Solution workflow/technical design
  • Requirements clarification, specification, and documentation
  • Proof of Concept delivery including development/integration work
  • Product/Solution discussions
  • Deliver demos of feeds and capabilities at client sites and via Teams for pre-sales clients
  • Maintain an expert level of real-time data & technology knowledge as well as product suites
  • Coordination with developers/third parties
  • Contributing to RFP and RFI responses/engagements, and overlooking data coverage checks
  • Respond speedily to customer needs, working with vitality to propose creative solutions that deliver demonstrable value
  • Act as an advocate for customer needs to the business and product teams intensifying issues quickly
  • Leading an internal Solution Governance Forum, avoiding scope creep in solutions designed and mismatched expectation
  • Coordinating client, technical and operations partners where vital

What You’ll Bring:

  • Understanding of proposing solution designs, data delivery, infrastructure hosting, snap and bulk content delivery
  • Understanding of infrastructure, hosting, cloud, Linux servers, databases, common API technologies and concepts including Websockets, Restful API’s, FTP and VPN
  • Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to the dynamic, fast moving market data field
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets and how they work
  • Good working knowledge of Docker, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure
  • Hands‑on experience of Python, Java and C++ would be advantageous
  • Some working experience in a related position
  • Open minded, curious, can‑do attitude and enthusiastic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills are key
  • Critical reasoning skills in order to identify problems and provide solutions quickly
  • Detail Oriented
  • Analytical, organized, detail oriented, multitasking, and disciplined
  • Proven fast learners, self‑motivated, and proven logical reasoning skills
  • Ability to effectively work within a team and to collaborate is required
  • Client‑facing experience would be a plus
  • English and fluency in one other main European language would be a plus
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or sciences
  • Knowledge of competitive data feeds would be a plus
  • Working knowledge of Refinitiv products would be a plus
