The International Indirect Tax Advisory team oversees VAT, GST, and SST matters outside the U.S., providing strategic tax advice, managing risk, supporting business changes, and ensuring strong governance across EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. This role supports the team by conducting data analysis and research on sales, products, customers, and tax regulations, helping to deliver accurate, risk-based indirect tax advice and partnering closely with finance, legal, commercial, technology, and external advisory teams.
We are looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our team in London for a 12 months fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the indirect tax team with daily business queries on VAT/GST across EMEA and APAC
- Assist with data analysis, data gathering and preparation of indirect tax materials
- Research indirect tax developments and summarise findings for review by the senior team
- Help maintain and update indirect tax process documentation and internal records
- Support the team with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as required
Required Qualifications
- Excellent data analysis skills
- A detail-orientated approach with an aptitude for data analysis and problem solving, including the ability to interpret, analyze and organize detailed tax material from around the world.
- The ability to consistently meet deadlines and prioritize work accordingly.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Proficiency with business applications such as Excel, Power BI, and accounting systems, with experience in SQL or working with databases and data analysis considered valuable.
- Written and spoken fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or any business/similar related field.
- Graduate degree in taxation is an additional asset.
- Some indirect tax experience, whether in a professional services or in-house environment, is preferred; recent graduates with relevant academic backgrounds will also be considered.
- Some exposure to or knowledge of indirect taxes (VAT/GST) across EMEA and/or APAC is desirable.
