We are seeking an experienced Finance lawyer to join the Practical Law Global team in the UK. As a Senior Specialist Legal Editor, you will apply your specialist legal knowledge of Finance law to create, maintain, and review clear, practical legal content and support the development of Thomson Reuters AI‑powered legal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Research, write and maintain up‑to‑date legal content aligned with market practice and customer needs.
- Review and edit content written by colleagues or external experts.
- Keep abreast of legal and market developments to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Provide legal expertise to support the development of Thomson Reuters' AI‑powered legal solutions and internal AI editorial tools.
- Develop and maintain relationships with lawyers and industry groups to reflect current market practice.
- Collaborate with product management, sales, marketing, and technology teams as necessary.
Qualifications
- UK qualified solicitor, barrister, or legal executive.
- Substantial post‑qualification experience in Finance law in the UK, particularly cross‑border Lending and Security Leveraged Finance.
- Desirable knowledge of Fund finance, Capital Markets, or Derivatives.
- Strong writing skills and a passion for clear, concise legal content.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong technical skills and proficiency with AI and other productivity tools.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work on diverse projects in the generative AI space.
