The Global Client Director (GCD) will be responsible for our most high profile, strategic clients who have global needs and requirements. The GCD will deliver exceptional customer service that demonstrates value to the customer and ultimately growth to Thomson Reuters’ business. Particular areas of focus include ensuring all cross-sell and up-sell opportunities are realized across our suite of products, owning and growing the C-suite relationships, proficiency in bringing industry insights and thought leadership to the law firm, maximizing revenue/retention and identifying new partnerships opportunities.
This is a key role within the sales and account management organization that requires entrepreneurship, innovation and enthusiasm for serving the customer. The GCD will need to identify key and senior stakeholders within each client and build strong long-term relationships with them. Working closely with global internal "pods", i.e. Sr. Sales Executives, Solutions Consultants, etc., you will need a collaborative focus to ensure we meet changing customer expectations. You will be responsible for coordination and driving collaboration across your territory and should use structured Account Planning methods to set goals and detail how you will achieve them.
About the RoleIn this opportunity as a Global Client Director, you will:
- Gain a deep understanding of each firm’s business strategy and objectives to inform the direction of Thomson Reuters strategy and ensure we align our capabilities effectively.
- Align collective resources of Thomson Reuters to build long-term business relationships, grow revenue, drive retention, and increase the Thomson Reuters footprint.
- Collaborate effectively across Thomson Reuters to develop the account strategy for each assigned firm, agree on prioritization of opportunities with relevant sales and account management colleagues, and take responsibility for driving progress on the account strategy, acting as the point of coordination across Thomson Reuters.
- Demonstrate strong negotiation skills focusing on the Thomson Reuters value proposition, identify opportunities to create needs and competitive solutions.
- Act as senior escalation point for clients and internal account teams as necessary.
- Keep accurate records in SFDC.
- Ensure we have the right connections between Thomson Reuters and the customer at all levels and have the ability to bring the relevant stakeholder from both organizations into strategic meetings.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with executives and decision makers at assigned firms; responsible for creating win-win solutions and outcomes to further customer engagement and loyalty.

- Experience and proven success at leading large, sophisticated accounts (Global experience is desirable).
