Business Development Executive – Reuters, The Insurer
This hybrid position will be based in London. As part of Reuters Professional, you will use your consultative sales skills to develop partnerships on behalf of The Insurer, a leading provider of insights and analysis for the global reinsurance industry.
About the Role
As Business Development Executive you will:
- Identify and secure new accounts within the global insurance industry and related sectors.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients across the industry, understanding their needs and delivering tailored content solutions.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with the subscription sales team, other B2B units within Reuters, and the Commercial Director to refine commercial packages and pricing strategies.
- Conduct accurate forecasting, update CRM systems, and report on market and competitor activities.
- Build and maintain strategic account plans for key target customers.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in sales and business development within the media, publishing, or related industry.
- Understanding of the insurance value chain and ecosystem.
- Consultative sales approach with strong negotiation skills and ability to pursue medium‑to‑long term strategic relationships.
- Track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Excellent client‑needs assessment and high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience leading opportunities from conception to close and working across business units to achieve results.
- Experience developing and reporting on a sales pipeline.
