At Refeyn, precision meets innovation. Our instruments and consumables travel across the world. We are looking for a hands-on Logistics Assistant to help keep everything moving smoothly behind the scenes.
The Role
You will be at the heart of our logistics operations, ensuring goods flow efficiently in and out of our manufacturing facilities.
- Goods In & Stock Control
- Receive and unpack incoming deliveries, checking contents and documentation
- Log items accurately using our Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Organise and store stock safely, including temperature-controlled items where required
- Goods Out & Dispatch
- Pick, pack, and prepare shipments following clear SOPs and work instructions
- Prepare crates, boxes, and flight cases for global shipping
- Ensure correct documentation is included inside and outside all shipments
- Support safe handling of sensitive bio-samples and dry ice shipments (full training provided)
- Warehouse Operations
- Support setup and organisation of warehouse storage systems (racking, bins, labelling, etc.)
- Move goods safely using pallet trucks and lifting equipment (forklift trucks not required)
- Assist with stock counts and investigate any discrepancies
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with teams across Operations, Service and Sales globally
- Coordinate with couriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL providers
- Track shipments, resolve issues, and support customs documentation where needed
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
- Tackle day-to-day logistics challenges to keep operations running smoothly
- Support Lean and 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace
- Help drive continuous improvement in warehouse processes
Qualifications
- Manual handling and lifting equipment certification (advantageous) or equivalent practical experience in a similar role
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or manual environment
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and PPE usage
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to follow written procedures and work independently
- Strong time management and reliability
Desirable Experience
- Warehouse Management Systems (NetSuite preferred)
- Use of pallet trucks or powered lifting equipment
- Banding/strapping equipment experience
- Lean or 5S methodology exposure
- Experience in high-value, low-volume scientific or technical environments
Location
This position is based fully on-site, at our Oxford office (Littlemore, Trade City).
