The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
For every successful team, there’s a Project Manager: the organisational and operational expert who ensures that everyone has what they need to deliver on time. Project Managers are able to simultaneously work backwards and forwards, creating release plans, building delivery roadmaps and establishing the inclusive dynamics that a team needs to succeed. In addition to partnering with other Thoughtworkers, Project Managers also extend their collaborative mindset and business value delivery to the client.
Job responsibilities
- You will manage multiple project workstreams and create an environment of trust that enables autonomous teams to work effectively and collaboratively within their team and with others
- You will oversee release plans for iterative and incremental delivery of value and be accountable for iteration planning, tracking, reporting, delivery scope, prioritisation, estimates, risks, dependency management and financials for the client engagement
- You will bring innovative and fresh ideas to project management, pushing the boundaries of how project managers can deliver exceptional business value
- You will orchestrate the design and build of critical and complex custom-designed, multi-tier, business applications that use a wide range of the very latest technologies
- You will propose and deliver a high-value delivery roadmap and plans that support the client\’s business strategies and objectives; You will proactively manage risk and openly communicate with the client with integrity
- You will ensure that the delivered value is explicit and well understood by the client and the Thoughtworks teams
- You will set up project processes in line with agile best practices and ensure their sustainability over a period of time
- You will drive towards impactful business outcomes, setting clear expectations and providing space for creativity; You will achieve results through leveraged leadership and inspire/recognise teams to achieve sustained, tangible progress and impactful objectives, while holding both yourself and others accountable
- You will navigate organisational structures and politics effectively to drive expected outcomes and develop/foster authentic executive client relationships
Job qualifications
Technical skills
- You have ample experience managing large, complex projects with end-to-end responsibility of project delivery
- You are adept with release planning, estimation, capacity planning, proposal building, contract negotiation and managing project financials
- You have experience with various software development approaches (traditional, agile, etc.) and have the ability to consult clients on the best approaches applicable to their scenarios
- You believe in the power of a flat hierarchy and enjoy facilitating and organising sessions to promote collaboration
- You have managed distributed or co-located teams in your recent experience
- You are adept with team management and team growth plans
- You are comfortable working with senior client leaders and company leadership teams to shape and execute strategic initiatives
