We are currently a team of more than 30 individual contributors, embedded into collectives such as Core Banking and Business Banking, working cross-functionally with Product Design, Product Management and Engineering teams. Our research organisation is led by Katherine Vaughan, our Director of User Research. You will play a key role by shaping projects and strategies that balance pace, quality and breadth of focus to have the most impact, and by translating insights and Monzo's strategic direction into clear, actionable plans for the teams you work with.
Responsibilities
- Have a demonstrable and significant positive impact on customer outcomes across the Monzo experience, both directly and indirectly.
- Influence Monzo's north star metrics and commercial outcomes.
- Prioritise the biggest opportunities for impact and help others do the same.
- Identify the most important research questions for Monzo, flexing focus between teams or domains as needed.
- Choose the right method, often pioneering new approaches to running complex research projects beyond the team's comfort zone, levelling up capabilities as you go.
- Shape projects and strategies that balance pace, quality and breadth of focus to maximise impact, delegating to others when appropriate.
- Draw on a range of data sources and work closely with cross-discipline leaders to robustly answer the questions most important to Monzo.
- Communicate actionable user insights with clarity so they are used to define strategy across the organisation.
- Partner closely with leaders beyond your discipline and model better ways of cross-functional working to raise the bar for all.
- Translate insights and Monzo's strategic direction into a clear, actionable plan for the teams you work with to progress toward the product vision.
