Referment is working with a full-service law firm with three offices across the West Midlands to recruit commercial property solicitors, from newly qualified up to senior levels, to join its commercial property team.
The firm delivers bespoke services to a client base of landlords, property developers, business owners, property investors and land owners, and its commercial property team sits alongside corporate and commercial, litigation and employment colleagues within a wider business offering.
The Role
You’ll run your own commercial property caseload spanning the team's full mix of work:
- buying and selling commercial property
- commercial leases and licences
- property finance
- options, pre-emption agreements and overage agreements
This is a permanent, full-time position, and you can be based from whichever of the firm's three offices suits you, with agile working on offer.
What We're Looking For
The firm is recruiting from newly qualified through to senior levels, and applications are welcome at any point in that range. You’ll bring experience across that mix of work, whether built up through your training or over several years in practice.
Alongside the technical work, you’ll have the ambition and skills to foster relationships with key stakeholders, both existing and new, and to contribute to building and driving a successful team.
Exposure to developer, investor or landowner mandates — and to options, pre-emption and overage structures in particular — will help you settle into the caseload quickly.
This could suit a commercial property solicitor at almost any stage: an NQ with strong commercial property training who wants a broad caseload from the start, a mid-level fee earner seeking a wider client base, or a senior solicitor ready to help build and grow the team within a multi-office, full-service firm.
